After a week of rain and light snow (in Texas!), we finally got a few days of sunshine, with temperatures even getting to the 60's.
The main guy, Mike, pulled down and cleared out the remaining big trees in our lot on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Friday, they started shredding the trees into sawdust.
We need about 20 sunny days to complete the task. So please keep praying!

This week's weather has been a little crazy. There was some rain and then on Tuesday it definitely snowed!!
We got 2 inches of snow that was great for snowball fights and making snowmen but not too good for construction work.
Still, by Friday they had finished most of the tree clearing and marked off where the foundation would be.
Saturday, a big crew of workers showed up and very quickly laid down the wood to frame the foundation.
It's taking shape now, so pray for sunny days ahead as the foundation is set up and filled up soon.

The days were still cold, but the weather seemed more stable.
They started pouring in the sand early in the week. Then they focused on putting in the pipes for the plumbing.
They put some black covering over the foundation on Saturday, probably as protection from the elements.
Pray for improving weather and for the foundation to get done by Spring Break.

Pretty beautiful week. Cool and mostly sunny days.
Much of the week was spent carving a grid of trenches into the foundation.
Then they eventually brought in lots of steel rods used to reinforce the foundation area. By late Thursday, they looked ready to pour the cement.
FRIDAY morn they brought in 7 or 8 trucks and poured the cement into the foundation. It was all dry by afternoon on this beautiful sunny day.
Pray for great sunny weather for the next 10 days or so. Pray for the team of 25 workers traveling to Austin to do the Church raising over Spring break.
